Group Discussions

In today's increasingly competitive world the G. D. or group discussion has become a very important tool in the selection and recruitment process. As many organisation lack the time for individual interviews the G. D. has become a way of eliminating the non potentials from the rest.Very often the first contact of a student with the corporate recruitment process is the group discussion.

What's a GD ?

A "group discussion" is just that - a discussion by a group of people.

As in a football game, where you play like a team, passing the ball to each team member and aim for a common goal, a group discussion is also based on team work, incorporating views of different team members to reach a common goal.

Typically 8-15 students sit across a table and are asked to freely discuss a particular topic, while their discussion is observed by a panel of evaluators. The discussion topics could be on virtually anything of general interest (see examples) - be it world politics, sport or business.

Typically the evaluators are looking for communication skills, assertive skills, logical as well s analytical thinking skills and presentation skills.

Professional Metamorphosis facilitates you with the necessary tools and skill sets required to present yourself and your points professionally in any group discussion

Needless to say that Professional Metamorphosis is committed to customising this module to suit individual institutions and/or students.
